Europa Oil and Gas have now submitted three applications to the Environment Agency, covering:

  1. Exploratory onshore oil and gas operations (mining waste permit)
  2. Oil storage
  3. Accumulation and safe disposal of radioactive substances

An excellent summary of the key points has been posted on Drill Or Drop.

For further information on the environmental permit applications and how to take part in the consultation (which is running until 16 May 2017) please see the following links:

More general information about how the EA determines Environmental permit applications and the types of permit required to allow exploratory exploration for onshore oil and gas, can be found here: If you have any further questions about the Environment Agency's role in the regulation of onshore oil and gas but not related specifically to these permit applications at Holmwood please contact us via kslenquiries@environment-agency.gov.uk
